Heli-Hunter
Description: When all attempts failed to control feral hog population in Texas, Craig Meier and Terrell Coleman decided the most effective way to patrol is with helicopters. Hogs do extensive damage to farms and ranches each year, so the men formed Heli-Hunter in 2009. Since then, Meier and Coleman have become leaders and innovators in aerial eradication of the invasive species, and this series shows how they go about it. Using a helicopter to flush the animals out of hiding provides clear kill shots, and they don't apologize to anyone who thinks the method is cruel. Research shows that seven of 10 feral hogs must be eliminated just to keep the population static, and the meat doesn't go to waste -- Heli-Hunter partners with an organization to process and distribute it to needy families.
