Description: Written and directed by Cathy Verney, the six-part series `Hard' tells the story of the life changes middle-class Catholic housewife Sophie reluctantly undergoes after her husband suddenly passes away. Sophie comes to realize that her husband wasn't working in the computer field; he had, in fact, remortgaged their house against his own X-rated film company and was financing their affluent lifestyle with the profit from his porn movies. In order to keep the house, Sophie has no choice but to take over as producer of the porn company, a job that repulses her and clashes with the quiet comfort of her home life, teenage children and well-to-do friends.
