The Dorset veterinarian travels the world to treat any animal species - both domestic and wild - in countries such as Zambia, Peru, Nepal, Costa Rica, Thailand and Uganda, places where pet care is nonexistent in the many remote outposts and villages. Over the course of one year, a film crew followed Gamble's selfless exploits, and he modestly praises others when he says the programme highlights "the work of some inspirational people and organisations who champion the cause of animal welfare in often very difficult situations and circumstances".
