The Men Who Made Us Fat
Description: Obesity is a bigger issue than it has been in the past, due in part to the proliferation of fast food options available. In an attempt to get the bottom of the obesity problem, journalist Jacques Peretti investigates how the concept of super-sizing changed people's eating habits going forward. He talks to industry professionals, including a former McDonald's vice president, to examine the introduction of such industry innovations (for better or worse) as value meals and king-size snacks. Peretti also explores how the advertising industry encourages people to eat more often as well as developments in dietary advice through the years.
