Description: This six-part comedy series, created by actress and TV presenter Emma Kennedy, is adapted from the writer's own memoirs `The Tent, The Bucket and Me'. The story, based in the 1970s, follows the Kennedy family who live on a housing estate in Stevenage, New Town. BAFTA Award-winning actress Katherine Parkinson stars as Emma's mother, Brenda, while Dan Skinner plays her father, Tony. Young `Star Wars' fan Emma and her family get involved with the community when they move to their new house, enthusiastic to move further up the social ladder. The Kennedys host a series of unique events for their neighbours, such as an Opportunity Knocks-themed dinner party.
