Description: This series goes behind the scenes of the investigations of detectives specialising in sex offence cases. While these crimes are given long sentences, it is often a difficult task to find the truth, and this has resulted in low conviction rates. One of the investigations discussed in the programme is the case of Ray Teret, a Manchester DJ and friend of Jimmy Saville, who is accused of sexually abusing girls in the '60s and '70s. But with the events taking place over 30 years ago, the detectives are finding it tough to find the evidence they need; with no CCTV footage or DNA samples, they do their best to expose the clues to the past.
