The Big Food Rescue
Description: `The Big Food Rescue' follows two men, David Cairns and Robin Aitken, as they set up a new charity. Motivated by the 10 million tonnes of food wasted in the UK each year, the pair get involved in an anti-food waste movement. Their primary aim is to get hold of the fresh food that supermarkets throw away each day, in order to give it to people who are in need. To procure the unwanted edible produce, David and Robin liaise with supermarkets and wholesalers to get their cooperation with the project. Having already established the scheme in Oxford, the team travel to London to incorporate the process at a large scale.
