Description: In 1914 explorer Ernest Shackleton led an expedition to cross Antarctica on foot for the first time. Before reaching the continent, however, his boat was crushed in sea ice, causing him and his team of 27 men to be marooned. Shackleton, however, was eventually able to complete the crossing with five men hand-picked from his crew. Nearly 100 years later explorer Tim Jarvis leads a crew of five men on a quest to follow Shackleton's journey. Jarvis' team uses the same equipment and clothing as Shackleton's team a century earlier to find out how Shackleton pulled off his feat in the bad conditions that he faced.
