Following her rescue, Brown reveals to investigators that her captor is responsible for many more crimes than the police ever suspected. Ultimately, Kohlhepp pleads guilty to seven murders. In Investigation Discovery's three-part limited series, investigative journalist Maria Awes sets out to learn the true extent of the serial killer's crimes, the ones authorities know about and the additional one he claims to have committed. Joined by former FBI profiler John Douglas ("Mindhunter") and Kohlhepp biographer Gary Garrett, Awes takes a chilling journey into the heart of darkness.
