Description: Fashion-challenged individuals, secretly nominated by friends and family for their sartorially sad state, are given a complete makeover ... if they agree to trash their entire wardrobe and surrender to two fashion gurus, that is. In each episode, the participant is given shopping money and advice on what clothes look best with their body style, then they're sent off on their own to purchase a new wardrobe. Oftentimes they need more prodding, advice and plenty of reassurance from the two experts to finish the task. After the shopping, a hairstylist and makeup artist complete the nominee's startling transformation. `What Not to Wear' premiered on the BBC in 2001, first presented by Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine. Lisa Butcher and Mica Paris were later presenters.
