Description: The titular Metal Hurlant asteroid is the link between episodes -- each of which takes place on a different planet and with a different cast -- in this sci-fi anthology series. The asteroid, the last fragment of a once-living planet that is now condemned to travel through space and time, passes by each planet as that planet's story is being told. The show's episodes are adapted from stories featured in the French comics anthology "Metal Hurlant" -- renamed "Heavy Metal" for the U.S. -- and feature cast members that include Michael Jai White, James Marsters and Rutger Hauer.
