Don't Stop Believing
Description: Don't Stop Believing was a British musical television series in 2010 that aired on Channel 5 and was filmed at Maidstone Studios in Kent. It was inspired by the American musical comedy-drama Glee. The series featured a number of weekly live shows in which show choirs competed against each other to win an album deal, with viewers voting on the ultimate winner. The series also featured non-eliminated solo singers who formed a Supergroup, growing in size each week until the series finale. The Supergroup represented the United Kingdom on the American glee club circuit, and performed at Disneyland Paris. They were scheduled for a tour at venues including Roundhouse and O2 Arena, and performed at Manchester's Pride Festival along with acts such as Beverley Knight, Same Difference and Adam Rickitt. The Supergroup's performances featured covers of various commercial songs by artists such as Britney Spears, Barbra Streisand, REO Speedwagon, Pixie Lott, Peter Cetera, Earth Wind & Fire and others. The series also featured interviews of cast and judges, with an exclusive reel of backstage material being streamed online via Myspace, presented by Phil Clifton. The show was hosted by former Spice Girl Emma Bunton, and judged by platinum-selling artist Anastacia Newkirk, former Blue member Duncan James, actress Tamzin Outhwaite and choreographer Charles "Chucky" Klapow. The programme was shown in simulcast on Irish TV channel 3e and repeated a week later on parent channel TV3 Ireland. The show was not renewed for a second series due to its decreased ratings. Richard Woolfe served as Executive Producer.
