Description: `Britain's First Photo Album' celebrates the work of Francis Frith, the pioneer Victorian photographer who put together a comprehensive pictorial record of the United Kingdom during the last half of the 18th century. Presented by John Sergeant, the series showcases 40 of Frith's best images, with each episode focusing on four story lines, all inspired by a Frith photo. Sergeant attempts to bring each photo to life by meeting present-day people who have a connection to these past stories, giving viewers a sense of what has changed in Britain and what remains the same.
