Description: Nine professional bakers compete in a variety of challenges to test their skills and allow one contestant to earn the title of "Best Baker in America." Hosted by Scott Conant and judged by Jason Smith and Marcela Valladolid, contestants from across the U.S. battle in a variety of mediums, including cake, meringue, pastry and chocolate. Each episode focuses on one category, and each baker is tested both on skill and ability to work with specific flavors and ingredients. At the end of every episode, one contestant hits the road, until the last baker standing takes the, um, cake and the $25,000 prize.
