Description: Neville owns a Blackpool fish and chip shop when he is brought the news that his father has just died and left him Littlehampton rock factory. He is now a part-owner of the factory but it is running at a loss and the bank wants its money. Neville owns and runs a Blackpool fish and chip shop when a solicitor comes to see him. Neville was brought up in an orphanage during the war but he is brought the news that his estranged father has just died. Neville travels down to Littlehampton where his father made seaside rock. He is now the part-owner of the business but it is not going well and has debts of £30 000. He also meets a half-sister, Dorothy, with whom he has an inauspicious initial meeting. Finally, there comes the news that the bank wants its money.
